13.6% percent of the Palm Beach County Population is food insecure, with 189,940 people not knowing from where they will get their next meal

BWCF helps 1,600 children receive meals each weekend through Boca Helping Hands’ school backpack program and provides holiday meals to families through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

The State of Florida removed more than 12,950 children from their homes last year.

BWCF works with Place of Hope, JAFCO, HomeSafe, and SOS Children’s Village to make sure that these children have a home and a supportive environment.

More than 271,000 children in Palm Beach County are living in poverty. That means that 20% of children between age 5 and 17 are in need of basic care.

BWCF funds a dental clinic at Caridad Center, provides nutrition counseling and after-school care at Fuller Center, and provides SAT, ACT, and college prep services at Bound for College.

Even among those living above poverty level, 28 percent of Palm Beach County households cannot afford the basic cost of living.

In 2022, BWCF partnered with Sweet Dream Makers to provide over 400 beds to families in need, as well as sheets, cribs, formula, diapers and other necessities to parents and infants in need leaving area hospitals.

Boca Helping Hands and Fuller Center offer career resources to assist heads of households in job placement and resources to secure vocational learning. Our partner agencies provide childcare to working poor families who pay what they can afford.
